SWAT OPS Pepper Spray for Self Defence

What Does It Do?

Pepper spray is very unpleasant! Once sprayed onto the face of an attacker it has multiple instant effects. It causes swelling of the eyelids, forcing the eyes closed and robbing the recipient of sight. It causes coughing and difficulty breathing.

It causes all the mucous membranes to go into overdrive, nose running, tearing of the eyes. It is also very painful on the skin, causing irritation and burning.

Even the most hardened person cannot overcome the effects. No attacker will be able to continue an attack with a face full of pepper spray.

SWAT OPS is CSIR approved for human use.

What Is In The Can?

The SWAT OPS Pepper Spray contains a 60ml solution consisting of 10% OC (Oleoresin capsicum) and water, with a propellant gas. The contents have a shelf life of 2 years and the expiry date is printed on the bottom of the can.

It is measured at 1,5 million SHU (Scoville Heat Units) tested by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).

This is a single use product. Even though the contents are more than sufficient for multiple uses, these repeated uses should be utilised during a single event. Once the seal is broken the propellant gas will slowly escape, this means that even if there is liquid available in the can, without propellant gas it will remain in the can.

The best advice is to dispose of your can once the seal is broken and purchase another one.

SWAT OPS pepper sprays are used by several security companies. In addition the South African Police Services and many Metropolitan Police departments have SWAT OPS hanging from their equipment belts. As a non-lethal security device, SWAT OPS is at the top of their game.

Animal Use

SWAT OPS is safe for use against dangerous animals, in particular vicious dogs. There are no lasting harmful effects. Game rangers also carry SWAT OPS to protect themselves against elephant and large cats and it can also be applied to fence posts and camp perimeters to deter wild animals.

There are 2 different delivery methods available, direct stream and aerosol fog. SWAT OPS cannisters come in 3 sizes, 45ml, 60ml and 100ml. There is an SWAT OPS Pepper Spray for every situation.

The 60ml and 45ml cannisters come with a metal belt clip so the cannister can be positioned for easy access on your belt. All cannisters come with a spring loaded thumb cover to prevent accidental discharge.
